Oyster Cars are delighted to offer this Spartan kit car, a little car with a very big character. Built for use on summer weekends or to take to shows, the car also has a exceptional capabilities as a hill trials car. Its overall appearance is a replica of the 1930’s Le Mans racers such as the MG ‘M’ type. Based on a spartan chassis with custom bodywork, the mechanical components are from a Triumph Spitfire. The engine, fitted with twin carburettors  has been fully rebuilt at great expense, detailed in invoices and is mated to a four speed gearbox. As a result the car is quite quick off the mark but obviously feels much faster given its low down open top status. The sense of speed and fun is intensified by the ‘lightly silenced’ exhaust system. It runs and drives really nicely and comes with a MOT till June 26. The interior and bodywork is full of unique and intricate features which are best understood by looking at the pictures and video on our website. These include a starter button from a Spitfire plane and a clock (non working) which we believe to be from a MIG fighter! If you are after something fun and unique which will put a smile on everyone’s face or equally wish to have a go at hill’s trialling in a car that has been very well put together at great expense then please do get in touch.
